On day fifteen, we struck out for the southern most city of our tour of Italy, Sorrento. Along the way, we visited the ruins of Pompeii. The following day, we were free to wander the streets and byways of Sorrento, take a ferry over to the Isle of Capri, or just relax on the beach. After two days of taking in the sights and sounds of Sorrento, we embarked on the narrow and twisting road along the Amalfi Coast destined for the grand finale of our Tour of the “Best of Italy,” Rome, where we visited the Catholic Rome, the ancient Rome and the modern Rome.
